The Capitol got stormed today by a bunch of yahoos, egged on by our dumb President. It's all so embarrassing really. 

This came right at the end of a day teaching about MF DOOM and Charles Bukowski, in their dark mash-up CELLZ. It seemed to fit.

I got sucked into the news cycle and just kept scrolling. Finally I tore myself away and went to the cemetery to dance.

It was an amazing difference. I screamed along with the music, "FA LAAA, THE MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR, FA LAAA!"

A gorgeous sunset. And I just couldn't be mad anymore. 

Music really is the best medicine. 

Dancing. Nature. All of it.

Started early, with a new Mixmasterpiece Theater, which completely lived up to its title. Wow, what a set.  I did 2 things new today.  1. Move. I used weights to swing both arms around and up to a T, on both sides. I did this because I thought it would be good for tennis game, since it replicates forehand and backhand movements. Best thing was how it synced up with synth sweeps. Speaking of syncing with synth sweeps... 2. Wrote a poem from lines of The Vibrarian set, which came out beautifully: Take me on There’s a riot going on. What does forever mean? Today I went to Mt. Zion Cemetery. I noticed on the map it was tucked back behind the cemetery I usually go to, Calvary. And I wanted to go to a Jewish Queens cemetery anyway because I told my friend Jacques Delaguerre that I would look for his grandfather's gravestone, which is apparently somewhere in Queens. An impossible task, but one which I was happy to begin. First of all, it was not easy to get into this cemetery. It is closed off from Calvary and you have to take a side street and enter in between the Sanitation dept. and a police station. The cemetery itself is overrun with weeds and flowers. The gravestones are very close together, almost haphazardly laid out. And mostly of a darker hue than the gravestones at Calvary. It is very different from neatly kept and organized Calvary cemetery.
