On a dance around this morning I saw a sign a ways off the path near some woods. I didn’t have my glasses on, but noticed that the writing had a shape to it, which made me curious. I went closer and smiled when I recognized the lyrics by Mr. Rogers. I looked to see what was on the other side of the sign, facing the woods. It was a “private property/ do not trespass” sign. Some like-minded soul had turned the sign around and repurposed it to invite the neighbors instead. Such a brilliant work of interventionist art. Also, the family was at church. But honestly Can’t imagine a church more beautiful or fulfilling than this one, unless maybe it was with a friend, maybe, but maybe I would have missed so much if a friend had been there too. Four flowers were a altar candles. Sermon was the artwork, and the other neighbor’s sign, about acts of kindness being the best way to change the world. At the end of the dance I meditated at the edge of the lake. lately my meditations have all been full
