Dang, out for a month with a herniated disc, y'all. Painful to be in pain, but maybe even more painful not to dance. Finally got back out today on a walk to take out the compost at the community garden. I put on the Empire soundtrack and felt the old magic. Not dead yet.
Timberland boots are the best. Timbaland beats I mean!
Not being able to dance makes it so much sweeter to dance again. In a way I needed that humility, to give me something to surge against.
Also got deep into Elgar's cello Concerto, a book about running by Haruki Murakami, which helped me realize that suffering is optional, another by Boethius, the consolation of philosophy, which also helped and a thousand New Yorker and Sun articles.
Oh but those Timbaland beats!
